It is not bad at all to replace the electrical portion of the ignition switch. You have to drop the flexible cloth cover above the pedals. Then grab ahold of the circular connector that plugs into the back of the ignition switch and pull. Once the connector is unplugged, you need to remove two screws from the back of the switch assembly and it will come right of. A one hour job at most.
