93 940 No AC, no power to compressor

I pulled the compressor side of the low pressure cut out switch and jumped it. Using a test light, I got no readings at the green wire on the compressor, none at the connector in a clip attached to the driver's side block (NA spec), and none at the connector six inches from the switch. Is there a relay in the middle of this that I am missing? I tested both wires as they came out of the switch with no joy either. Is there a relay in this I am missing? is the female part of the switch FUBAR? I just bought the car and the owners claimed no knowledge as to teh AC problem.
