93 940 No AC, no power to compressor

I get one click from the compressor. I can feel the click with my hand on the body of the compressor. Does this mean the compressor is DOA?

Not at all, Carl. It means the compressor clutch engaged like it should, when voltage is applied. Had the belt been driving the "free-wheeling" clutch pulley, the (engaged) clutch would have transmitted the pulley power to drive the compressor.

I don't think you will find anything published any better than the Haynes, which isn't saying much. IMO, your best bet is to get familiar with the 700/900 FAQ feature here. You can access it from the pull-down --more-- menu at the upper right, then scroll down to the FEATURES heading. The FAQ organization needs some getting used to, but there is a lot of info to be had.
