How to store used brakes components

I did not keep the reservoir that was on the MC. While it was clean inside it was not new and I had better ones at home. I left the reservoir seals in place. It was too cold to deal with the fittings at the yard so I cut the lines a couple of inches from the MC.

Today I removed the seals and the fittings and flushed it out with clean brake fluid and then removed all the brake fluid I could. I crimped the lines so they would act as plugs and reinstalled them. I reinstalled the seals and went through a couple of cabinets until I round the bag of "plugs" from various AC, brake components. I found two that were a perfect fit in the seals. Into a gallon zip lock until a better idea comes along.

Randy

EDIT: The only alcohol in my procedure was the bottle of Smithwick's I had with dinner.....
