Funny you should ask, Randy.

I did the same -- removed the like new master from the 84 I sent to Valhalla, and gave this "hygroscopic" thing a thought or two. Then, having no idea whatsoever what the correct thing to do was, I "bench bled" it using 91% drug store IPA, shook it out, found two of those plastic plugs the new ones come with, laid a sandwich bag under the rez cap, and bagged it in a 1-gal ziplock. Then I got to thinking about it and dug up a couple of those "Silica Gel - Do Not Eat" bags from some electronics purchase, opened the ziplock and tossed 'em in. That was probably fooling myself, because I didn't bake the stuff out first.

Anyhow, I'd be interested in hearing the right answer to the question I should have asked myself.
