One problem that no other poster has mentioned since you live in the "rust belt", is that the steel body of the sensor has a tendency to adhere/fuse to the aluminum bracket when salt and water are added, aka. road salt.
If you can't get the sensor out after twisting it (post bolt removal), there was a post a month or two ago about how someone "drilled out" the center of the sensor and used a wood screw to remove it. Just be prepared for a painful extraction....
I would call this the Brick root canal if the sensor is stuck to the bracket.
