the passage in the FAQS i refered to is under driveability problems/engine -fuel injection link to radio suppression relay. hope that helps. i understand what you're suggesting, but am still curious to know what the underlying problem is. why doesn't a known good relay work. as i explained i did clean the ground as you suggested.
