No start problem fixed. Was this the culprit?

I would suspect the Crank Sensor. Start the car and wiggle the wire leading to the Crank Sensor and see if you can get the car to stall. Located on the Bellhousing.

I hear you. The intermittent running sucks, you never know if you fixed it.
