The wiring harness gets flexed where it enters the door. I don't know of a way to test the harness. I think taking the panel off and inspecting it is what is needed. As others have suggested, removing fuses one at a time will isolate which circuit has the fault. Some have found the door lock wiring to be the source of their drain and it is a circuit that is energized when the ignition is off.
