Should I replace the head gasket? 200 1988



If it's not been overheated, why bother with the head? Same with the oil pump.

You can replace the intake valve seals with the head on if you'd like.

Honestly, doing the head is probably easier with the engine in the car anyway. Cars make good counterholds. :-)

Chose your battles with the seals. Non-Volvo gaskets/seals are a big gamble these days. I've been surprised how bad the quality has gotten in the aftermarket world.
