I wouldn't do the head gasket. You're supposed to remove the bolts carefully and in sequence. If not (and this is in Bentley I think) you could warp the head.

A couple of friends (and I) found the heads warped after they pulled them. This doesn't prove they/ I warped them but 1) none of the cars had problems before; and 2) resurfacing is required.
