You may not notice a much brighter beam going from glass sealed beams to ecodes without going up in wattage. I think the sealed beams are the same watts as you are running in the ecodes. The advantage with ecodes is better optics, a more accurate and better directed light pattern.

The difference would be more dramatic if you were going from the crappy plastic lights to ecodes as used in later 240's.
