I just got a new boot for the shift fork and am looking for an easy way to install it. I have an M41 with OD.

Should I just remove the return spring, and then unbolt the slave cylinder? That way I won't have to worry about re-adjusting the throw length.

I love working on this car, the road clearance is so high, I don't even have to jack it up.
