Adjusting Height of Sunroof Panel on 740

"Have you read the FAQ"

Is this a quiz?

Yes, I read it and in fact printed hard copies of most of it out, including the part that says the wind deflector (that my sunroof doesn't have) pushes it up, though that would stress the front adjusters since they are already all the way up, so the last 3/16" would be hard gotten.

Which is why I mentioned I didn't have a pop-up wind deflector, and asked in my question if maybe ALL sunroofs don't have them, because I can see no evidence mine ever did (and the car's been in the family since brand new, but that's not to say my cousin didn't have it fall 20 years ago and didn't replace it).

The FAQ actually says (and I quote) that:
"The front pops up into position only by riding up on the collapsed wind deflector. There are (2?) rubber snubbers that sit under the deflector, only glued in, that sit under the deflector, only glued in, and frequently these have vanished, thus not encouraging the roof to finish in the flush position."

That's why I asked if the 4 tabs (2 upturned metal ones and 2 plastic coated) that I have and used arrows to point out may be there in lieu of a deflector.

I do have 2 felt "donuts" (maybe 1 1/4" either side of center) on the cross-bar that could be the "snubbers" they are talking about.
