122's are awesome, I bought mine from Bakersfield Cali, it came to me in NY with a mushed front end which we disassembled, pulled out, banged on for hours, heated, shrunk it stretched it and in the end when it went back together you cannot find a flaw. The car is comfy, parts are everywhere, good looking, quick and worth the effort if your not structurally damaged.
My feeling is that if you consider swapping parts from one car to another your really taking 2 cars apart to build one, you'll have a huge mess leftover of parts and a parted car, you'll be heartbroken even more because that parted car is the car you originally cruised 100K miles in, and you will more than likely spend as much if not more than the cost of repairing your car even by a pro shop.
Fix your car, you'll be happy, you'll enjoy the repair, you'll keep YOUR car, avoid other headaches and in the end you will know exactly what you have again.
