Like Bruce, I get the +12V by clipping on the + battery post. Won't hurt to ground it, but it won't work either.

BTW, Tony, vaguely on the ignition topic, I neglected to get back to you on those aftermarket CPS - you asked where I got them. Probably if you searched "A1P" as it looks on the box, you didn't find them. They are http://aipelectronics.com
