2-3-1.... 700 1990

Hey guys.
I went to do some more tests on the volvo after work. I checked the obd codes again & got the permanent 321 code only, so that's a good thing I guess. I went to start it up today, it kind of ran for about half a second then died. I checked the timing belt & it lines up with the mark at top dead center. I then cranked the car over a bunch, so the plugs would be wet with gas on them. Pulled the plugs & they were as dry as a bone. So my next step was to run the obd system where it tests the injectors, radio suppression relay, idle air control valve, etc. this time I put a screwdriver on the injectors & put it up to my ear. I could hear the injectors firing off.

I loosened the worm clamp for the fuel line & fuel dripped out when the fuel pump was primed & I turned the car over. So, I've got fuel at the rail, injectors firing, but dry plugs? That makes no sense to me.

I also ran a jumper in place of the fuel injection relay & the fuel pump kept running.

Rpm sensor on the bell housing looks to be in good shape. Grounded out a spark plug & I have spark.

Still need to check fuel pressure, but that's the new info for now.

Any ideas now?

Thanks,
Ben
