2-3-1.... 700 1990

I went ahead & put a jumper across the RSR, and it started up! However, I had to keep my foot on the gas for it to keep running. I pushed the pedal hard enough to set the idle at 1000rpms. When I did that though, it would continuously surge from 700-900 or 800-1000. If I slowly let my foot off the gas some(not all of the way), it would run at 500 rpms. When I was almost all the way off the gas, it tried to stall out. So I revved it up a couple of times. After the 3rd or 4th rev up to about 2500rpms, the idle has smoothed out & is at about 800 now running fairly smoothly.

So would this mean the RSR is the cause of the problem, or did I just get lucky by putting the jumper on & the fuel pump is still most likely bad?

I have cut it on & off a few times now with the jumper wire & it starts right back up. I put the plug back into the bottom of the relay & it wouldn't start up. Just cranks. I also switched the plugs between the RSR & the (fan, I think) relay next to it, and it wouldn't start up. Is it possible that both of those relays on the passenger strut tower are bad?

I went back to using the jumper wire & it works great again!

Thanks,
Ben
