Kickdown cable replacement. How difficult to replace? 200 1986

Hey, I'm doing the kickdown cable replacement now on my 1992 240 Wagon.

I dropped the pan and took out the filter. The plate above the filter fell out, too, after I took the filter out.

I still can't seem to get to the kickdown cable end inside the tranny. It enters the housing from the top rear passenger side, and when I look up from under it, I can see the fitting coming into the housing, as well as part of the cable/cam assembly through an opening.

Is there another "layer" of components to take off? I'm real cautious about dismantling automatic transmissions!
