No start problem 200 1976

Jump the fuses to make the fuel pumps run and then try to start the car.

If it runs, then there is a prob with your fuel pump relay.

If it still almost starts and then dies, look for an air leak between the throttle body and the intake. Check the hoses to and from the AuX Air valve that loop over and under the Intake Manifold.
