It's probably a long shot but if your timing is involved possibly one of two things -- 1. your timing belt has jumped - looked for torn up teeth on the belt or too much slack -- and 2. the steel pin that locates the reluctor on the distributor shaft has disintegrated and allowed the reluctor to spin on the shaft (I've only seen this one time). -- Dave
