oldduke said, "what is the significance of green colored fluid?"
When doing a fluid flush (replacement of old with new), flushing with a different color lets you know when a given circuit has been thoroughly flushed. Using ATE Blue fluid, (no longer available?) when the Blue came through you knew it was new. (Sorry)
IMHO that was more positive and used less fluid than visually comparing old dirty with new fresh. A complete 240 flush (non-ABS) with Blue fluid used to take less than a liter, as I recall. On the next flush, the Blue was expelled with clear, etc.
