Thanks Ron. I guess I didn't mean there was actually a ballast resistor inside the coil, but rather it is wound with the right amount of resistance to "act" as though it was functioning as a coil plus a ballast resistor. Is that how I should refer to it?

It may be a few days before I get back on the project but I appreciate your oversight/insight.
