Overheating / Cooling 1800 1973

Seems obvious to me that you are not getting enough air flow at low speed. Let the engine warm up until the temp gauge approaches the red zone. Open the hood and operate the throttle by hand. Speed up the engine and you should be able to see the fan speed increase, hear it roar, and feel a stiff breeze.
My bet is the fan temp clutch is not working properly. Tom
