I doubt it. 200 1989

Art,

Here is the link to the Rich condition that I'm experiencing with the 240.

https://www.brickboard.com/RWD/volvo/1615300/220/240/260/280/engine_running_rich.html

I've smoked the engine about a month ago and found that the oil separator was indeed leaking. Saw the crack in it as soon as I had it out.

I put it all back together and re-smoked the engine. I only got smoke coming from where all the hoses come together where the flame trap sits.

I will confirm tomorrow morning, but I believe the car once again idles high for like the first few seconds on cold start up and then comes back down to normal. It did this before the ECU swap but I believed I had solved that by wire tying some vacuum lines that were lose. I will also re-check the spark plugs to see if they are still wet since it has been a week since the ECU was replaced and any gas that was not burned up before should have been by now.

If the spark plugs are still wet, I'm thinking that my only other choice is to replace the O2 sensor again, but I'm holding out doing that due to the cost.

Like to get this squared away before the boy heads off to school in about a month.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Matt
