Should I replace this water pump? 200 78

I'm getting ready to do the timing belt on both my 240s. The 1978 has almost exactly 50,000 miles on the current belt; thankfully, I have the all the PO's service records. (Pay extra for service records - they're worth it.) Those records show the current water pump was replaced 64,000 miles (and 15 years) ago. The water pump isn't showing signs of trouble --- I'm just thinking that if I'm in there and have all the belts/cam cover off, I might as well do the water pump while I'm at it. Really don't want to take all that stuff off again if I don't have to. We only drive this car around town, never on long trips, but we do live in the middle of the Mojave desert.

We have no records on the 1984 245, and have only owned it 7 months. We do drive it on long trips, sometimes overnight trips, and often in very isolated places. I think it would be smart to do both the t-belt and the water pump on this one.

Comments, thoughts, from all you?
