Incredibly hard to cold start 142 140-160 1972

Lee- I tried this this morning but not really sure if it helped - it might have been slightly easier to start but one test wasn't enough to tell. I did try it a few times, then tried to crank and nothing, then did the switch on/off a few more times, etc. until it started.

I may have to check my cold start injector again but it's crappy out today - maybe I'll get to it this weekend. Is there an automatic choke that should be operating? I'm assuming the butterfly valve in the intake should be closed prior to starting - if I can find someone to help me this weekend I'll try and resolve this - but can you (or anyone else) think of anything it may be if the cold start injector is working?

Also, if I am losing pressure overnight is there any way to track this down? I'm 99% positive I don't have any fuel leaks anywhere but one never knows...

I am running 10w30 - should I switch to a different oil in the winter? I also have 30 weight in the tranny - is this sufficient for winter? Trans seems a bit sluggish until warmed up.

Thanks

Mike
