Location/Replacement of the Ignition Reference Sensor 700 1989

Herb,
Now I'm really confused...I did take a look at the picture of the Ignition Reference Sensor for my 740GL, 8-valve ( that makes it 4 cyl.) and it looked like something described in FAQ, i.e. needing a housing and secured with a 10 gauge bolt right by side. It has a long and thick wire with a connector at the end. As I understand, the Hall sensor serves as RPM sensor only on the turbo models, not normally aspirated. So mine should have the one that goes into the bell housing. Am I right?
