Location/Replacement of the Ignition Reference Sensor 700 1989

Your post does not give enough information on where you are. 1989 North American market cars have LH 2.4 Jetronic and the RPM sensor is directly below the head mounted distributor in the top of the bell housing. The RPM sensor has a long black cable connecting it to the electrical harness on the left hand side of the firewall. In addition the Coolant Temperature Sensor in your car also gives a temperature input to the EZK (ignition smart box under the dash)
