The seals are good and I've checked with a dial gauge that I haven't got lost motion in the operating rod/valve. All the valves are seating properly. The bore and piston aren't scored.

Originaly I was advised to slightly drop the pressure with the uprated cone clutch it uses. The reason being that with the more agressive clutch lining material the OD becomes clunky. I can cope with that though.

Your thoughts on pressure mirror my own. There are definitely 2 different housings. The one I have is weird. It runs full pressure all the time, swtch into overdrive and pressure drops like a stone to zero and very quickly builds back up again. Apparently you can tell the difference by the drillings adjacent to the 7/16th headed plug under which the operating rod lurks. there are different numbers of ball bearings pressed into the housing there. I must do some more research on that.

Regards

Pete
