Random miss problem seems fixed 200 1988

Nap -

I had a lengthy mental debate with myself over whether of not to pull the alternator or to do the swap in situ. I lost, or is it won?? At any rate, I decided to start out with the alternator in place and if it was not working out, I could pull it and do the swap on the bench.

Doing the job in place saved me from bending way far over to get the long mounting bolt out, from unhooking the battery cable and the wires on the alternator, and from finagling the thing up and out.

It just seemed that pulling the heat shield and oil filter (I did the alt job in the middle of an oil/filter change job) was less work. Besides, the little plastic cover over the main charging wire terminal would not come off. I guess it's what ever floats yer boat, eh?

Sunspots relate to the rear wiring harness inversely proportional to the band selection on the radar detector one uses, right? Or is the level of muffler fluid? I forget.

Regards,

Bob
