Got a used thermal timer, hooked it up and its still hard to start.
Am I left to just pump the gas till it holds a steady idle? Or should I investigate the cold start valve?

As far as the heater control valve, got one of those used too...have yet to put it in. Anything I should look out for besides the obvious (coolant spilling everywhere, etc.)? What does that little screw do on the top of the control valve that looks like it has something to do with the copper wire/sensor that goes into the heater body? Does it control temp?

Also, is it worth it to replace a faulty gas gauge or the whole instrument panel? Mine's fried, literally, the tiny wires in the gauge are melted.

I just got this wagon and am still working out the kinks. Thanks for any advice you guys might have.
