Oh, MANNNNN..... trumped by the FAQ. I thought I read it (well... OK, most of it).

Did I contribute the part about dropping the insta-strip® drain plug? I'd hate to think that I commited such loathsome acts of boobery.

Unfortunately it appears as if I mentioned the presence of such a hideous creation. But at least I warned about blowing the threads off.

I'd have to say, that was old news. My new and improved recommendation is NEVER TOUCH THOSE DAMN PLUGS! I've ruined several of them. In fact, I think they come intentionally pre-destroyed from what I've seen. I never touch those anymore as a result. besides, flushing the trans fluid is SO much easier. And you don't even have to get under the car.
