od problem continues and changes! 900

Hi mate,

I hope that your problem is now solved once and for all. If not I can say, based on what my car did, you will have OD problem within the next few days or by next week the latest. As I shared my expriance in the previous post, the way my solenoid went south was that it was intermitent failure and not sudden failure like you had described in your previous post. My car ran fine for a few days then the problem came back. Then the nexy day it would run fine like nothing was wrong but then the following day the problem came back. This went on for almost two weeks or so until one day it totally refused to engage into OD. First I thought, like you, that it was temp. relate problem because during initial drive the OD would work fine until about 20 minutes or so of driving the car would disengage OD on its own. But it was suffering from solenoid failure. I would suggest in addition to having a spare OD relay, you may want to consider having a spare OD solenoid as well.

Good luck.
