Thanks Chris. I'm actually not using a lot of gas. I got better than 26 mpg on the way back from West Palm and that was going around 75 on the interstate. This was when I got the gas smell so strongly.
I shorted the plug wires individually to the head while wife cranked and verified that I had spark. Plugs, wires, cap, and rotor were all changed ~10K ago.
The car is a turbo, so no Regina.
I'm going to get into the FAQ to figure out where the rest of the stuff you're talking about is. I should get a pretty good education out of this if nothing else.
