Another possibility 120-130 1967

To do its work, a generator or alternator must be driven positively, with no slippage. The attaching hardware can loosen or even deflect, causing the belt to slip. One indication can be low charge, and the voltage may not rise or might even decrease at higher rpm. Also, belt squeal can indicate a too-loose belt.
I'm dealing with this now, on a 240 that has its alternator mounted on rubber bushings, rather than solid mounts like your 120's.
