If you have to buy a new assembly, spend the extra $25 and buy yourself an OEM unit. I had horrible problems with aftermarket leaky taillight lenses... never again!

Some people have repainted their assemblies to make them look like new. I think they used Krylon "Candy Apple Red" clear paint -- check archives. Btw, the only lens that I know of that one can replace is the reverse one.
