The lenses that leak water usually do so from the run off coming down the trunk lid channel. I am working on a replacement, new circuit board onto a pre-85 unit, and will seal up the space between the lens edge and the unit frame. Maybe that will protect it in the future. Takes a while to get the plastic super-clean, though.

BTW DS is an easy fit for the pre-85 to 86+ car. The PS is not, has the large key cut for the lower outer in a different place.
