Thank you, Alex. I'll check into an automotive multimeter and an inductive tachometer. I might be able to get them at cost through a Car Quest source if I'm lucky. Also, great advice on the smog check shop. First step, though, is the wiring harness and probably the TTS and ECT sensor.
