Do you have any tips for me? 200

I am planning on changing all my belts, the motor mounts, and the seals on my '79 244 DL and was wondering if there was anything I might need to know before I start. The only thing that makes me nervous are the seals. I have done a lot of work on my brick and my old mazda pickup already but I have no prior experience on engine seals. Currently my brick is eating oil. The oil filter and area just above it are becoming coated in oil.
I own the haynes manual and have found some very helpfull sites online, especially for the motor mounts.
Should I buy any other books?
What web sites do you use frequently?
What kind of job am I looking at for the seals?
Where should I get them from?
While I have the engine apart is there anything I should inspect or replace?
Sorry I kind of asked a lot of questions.
Any help would be great---Thanks, Paul.
