"Currently my brick is eating oil. The oil filter and area just above it are becoming coated in oil. "

It might not be your seals. Wipe down (clean) the area around the oil filter including the pressure sender. Then while running, watch for seepage from sender.

Btw, if your front seals are leaking, expect premature timing belt failure.
