740 non runner 700 1986

Please help,
I have a 740 estate which started to stall after running for 5 minutes, but now will not start at all. I replaced the fuel pump relay and fuel filter, this did not improve the situation.
I have read in these pages about things like noise suppressors but cannot find these on my car.
Any info would be appreciatted
