Proper timing setting 700 1990

We have a 87 240, 87 740, a 89 740, a 91 240 , 95 940 and a 93 960.

Do any of these cars adjust the timing with a timing light or do they all utilize the crank sensor you speak of.

Additionally, if a car has the crank sensor , for the most part, is the small amount of adjustment in the distributor not utilized.
