It isn't as bad a job as it looks. It Is very bad looking. But nothing compares to the nightmare that you'll have if you try to do the job with the dashboard in the car. I know, I did it that way numerous times, until my boss showed me the real way to do it. He does it in 2.5 hrs on an airbag car, and I think he said just about 2 hrs on the non-airbag cars.

He is 25 years on the job, however, so I would expect a whole day, if you take your time and label things. I don't, but I don't need to because I've seen them so many times.
