Trev,

I don't know if there are Sam's Clubs in your neck of the woods ... but I just got a couple of sets of some very heavy duty,(chromed no less) 6 TON jacks stands from Sam's for 21 bucks a set. Should come in handy when I'm doing tranny work on my Bricks and need it supported well off the slab. These extend to 24". As has been mentioned don't ever trust your life to a cement block support. Never, ever, never!
