Tricking coolant sensor 1800

I have the ES with B20E head setup, and haven't run into any major problems.

The knob on the ecu adjusts CO levels...can only be set with an exhaust gas analyser. Good luck finding a shop that still has one.

the ipd modified ecu simply used a variable resistor in place of the coolant temp sensor. This in turn changes the air/fuel mix from stoich to slightly richer. I don't know the range of resistance the knob offered though. If you can't find a variable resistor, buy an assortment of resistors from radioshack and play around.

BTW, the real way to tune d-jet (meaning not tricking the ecu) is through the manifold pressure sensor. It comes sealed from the factory, and only slight adjustments are needed, but I don't recommend it. And i'm sure no one else will. Not only did the B20E have a different ecu p/n than the b20F, the manifold pressure sensor was different as well . I found an adjustable one in an old mercedes junker in my local wreckyard. I'll play with it one of these days.
