Tricking coolant sensor 1800

the temp sensor is a vairable resistor, and the ecu uses it as an input to adjust fuel. I suppose If you use a resistor in line with the sensor you will displace its range of resistance. if you use the right resistor 'in place of', as I said before, the ecu will always think the engine is running cold and thus run richer than normal.

Btw, cameron are you going to elaborate or shoot me down with no comment to follow. I would like to know what ipd did exactly.
