Idle problem B20E question on my 71 142E 140-160

Hi Jeremy,
It is a small spring loaded valve in the throttle plate itself. It opens under very low manifold pressure, like when you take your foot off the gas at high RPM and allows a bit more fuel and air into the engine to prevent misfire. If you look into the throttle body you'll see if you have one. Some don't. My 164E had one, and I removed it completely and soldered some sheet copper over the hole. Every little bit of flow helps.
