Did tune up myself; now I have problems and need help. 200 1983

Um yeah, but rags can help catch the broken bakalite. Work clean.. Pulling hard and hammering can damge the rotor mount which is held by a clip, and you don't want to damage things...

I can't id that wire as the possibilities can be anything... Stock, not stock...

Stock cut off and by passed??? A yellow wire does opertate the temp gauge, or did... I suggest cutting it clean and tape it for now.

Then find what does not work, and see if you can engergize that wire by a swtich..

Many makes and modles include wiring for items never installed, and it might be one of those as well. When cars are made often time only the top of the line gets the frills, but usually the wiring is there for the frills... You will encounter un-used connetors and wiring alot...

You pay for the wiring in any modles made, and you pay for the switches and the items in the top of the line when you get them. It isn't exactly fair, but it is the industry's way to shorten the time factor when they build a harness.

If you believe this wire is important, you will have to track it back to a source you can id. Mac
