Brett--this very cold winter in New England has caused--for the first time in a dozen-year history with SUs--my front carb plunger to pop out at least five times. After the first few I richened up the mixture a LOT (2 or 3 flats, in SU-ese) and the car is mostly tractable, but in the very cold it's still backfired once or twice before warming up fully.
